Blessed are the children
The source of our joy
You loved the day you took them
To buy their first toy
Whenever you hear the clang
You would say O’ boy

Your thoughts are always with them
Every night and day
Their smiles will bring happiness
In every shape and way

Blessed are the children
On the day they’re born
At their growth you wonder
At their illness you’re torn

You reminisce with excitement
When they crawled and walked
When they said mommy n’ daddy
When they sang and talked

Remember playing ball with him
As mom took her for a book search
Or when going on vacation
Or attending mosque or church

Of course you would remember
Her first day at school
Or when you had to discipline him
Upon acting like a fool
Or becoming wild teenagers
While feeling great and acting cool

But perhaps your proudest moments
Will be on graduation day
The sacrifices then didn’t matter
Or how much you’d had to pay

Blessed are our children
With every ounce of grain
They are now successful
It’s been a growing pain
Let’s cherish the beautiful moments
Your life was not in vain
May God bless you always
And send you rewards and gain
