O’ my Lord
I ask for Your forgiveness
If I’ve ever exceeded
My limits
Or have ever surpassed
My boundaries
If on occasions
Have not exhibited
Complete submission
Or at times
Have not displayed
Absolute gratefulness
I beg your pardon
Asking for repentance
Seeking atonement
Longing for redemption

O’ mother and father
I ask for forgiveness
If I’ve ever been impatient
Or somehow did not meet
Your expectations
If in a moment of selfishness
Did not fulfill a promise
Or overlooked an obligation
I beg your pardon
Seeking your satisfaction
And pleasure
For your continuous love
Is my venerated treasure

O’ my endearing half
Forgive me
For a hectic life of
Comings and goings
For my definite shortcomings
Leaving you with more responsibilities
Not less
More hardships and stress
Fighting alongside me
The enormous battles
With determination and fortitude
Without recognition or gratitude
I beg your pardon
As your love and kindness,
And bestowing on me
Everything I wanted
Have spoiled me
Taking you for granted

O’ my beloved children
I ask for your indulgence
Having matured
To the world’s harsh realities
Sooner than foreseen
Skipping your childhood
Struggling with life’s quandaries
At a tender age
Or in your teens
But my solace and comfort
Knowing you’ll always be
Wiser and salient
Tougher and valiant
Stronger and resilient

O’ friend or stranger
No man is faultless
But the best among us
Is the repentant and contrite
If in a moment of misguidance
I offended or acted senseless
Or did not stand up swiftly
For what’s right
I beg your pardon
And ask for your forgiveness
